Hello and welcome!
Below you will find the updates that have been pushed for Twitch VOD Downloader.
Updated program to use new API calls, this is due to some changes Twitch made in their API.
Due to twitch moving over to forced HTTPS, I have removed the auto insertion of "http://" if it was missing, this should fix the recent issues.
Added support for subscriber only VoD's, if you notice any issues please let me know on reddit.
Due to new method used to allow access to subscriber VoD's, it will need you to re-auth with twitch, it will create a secondary file with the new token.
Added logging to the program, in the event of it not working this will help me diagnose why.
Removed "Did the download not work last time" checkbox as it is now useless with the new method implemented to download.
Please ensure that you re-download this program from:
Using a completely new method to get the download URL for VoD's, this will require you to auth with Twitch.
Allowed specific time-constraints for downloads.
Fixed downloading old broadcasts that use the FLV fileformat.
Fixed issue with download old broadcasts into a folder with spaces or special characters.
Added check to ensure that FFMPEG is present in the folder.
Implemented auto detection if it is a VoD or past broadcast.
Attempted a fix for files being corrupt if ffmpeg does not gracefully exit.
Implemented a hacky fix to allow you to download VoD's that are muted at the start, previously it would have no audio.
VoD's that are muted at the start and downloaded seem to only play in VLC correctly.
When downloading VoD's that are muted at the start, it will appear nothing is happening for a long time, it is downloading the VoD in the background to find the audio track.
Please note the VoD may still be fully muted, this is currently in testing.
Fixed auto updater - should now work correctly.
Fixed path names that included spaces or apostrophe's.
Implemented auto updater.
Added view log function - allows you to see why it may not have downloaded.
Added alert stating old highlights (c URL's) are not supported.
